Severus Snape | Slytherin | Sixth | Half-blood | Open Severus Snape could never be credited with gentleness nor any sort of general niceness; however, he prided himself on being cool-headed and intelligent. He supposed his resentment toward most people was a trait he inherited from his father; well, that and his nose. For the rest, he was like his mother; quiet and bound to make all the wrong choices. Over the past few years, he had done just that; he had lost the girl he loved, fallen in with Death Eaters, and even preformed Unforgivable Curses on his own father. Of course, after years of abuse from Tobias, it was bound to happen, but he still felt a shred of guilt over it. He tries not to focus on the fact that his life is crashing around him though, spending hours in the library studying, or in his dorms experimenting with Potions. Sometimes certain people force him to open his mouth, which he usually regrets, which is why he prefers to keep it closed. Marlene McKinnon | Gryffindor | Sixth | Pureblood | Open Proud and content are good words to describe Marlene. Regulus Black | Slytherin | Fifth | Pureblood | Open In his fifth year, Regulus is finding it easier to fade to the background while everyone acts around him. He’s given up on resisting his parents’ reign, now already engaged, and views his future bleakly and as an inevitable event. Regulus has, after all this time, assumed it wasn’t anything in his genetics, as, with a chromosome that overpowering and dynamic, the chances of it being recessive are one in a million. And so it has to be some innate Sirius-like factor similar to a pheromone that no one, not even his brother, have been able to resist. And yet his cousins all portray similar tendencies in being centers of attention, andstill Regulus, while favored to his parents after his brother’s one-man rebellion, remains sufficiently underwhelming when measured up to the bars set by his family. For much of his life, and likely for what is left of it, Regulus supposes he’ll be doing what he is told, unless someone important tells him otherwise. Evan Rosier | Slytherin | Sixth | Pureblood | Open Evan Rosier is often seen hanging out with his fellow Slytherins, playing it rough with the rest of his House’s quidditch team. Damocles Belby | Ravenclaw | Seventh | Muggleborn | Open Captain of the Ravenclaw quidditch team and gifted in potions, Damocles is the subject of many of the younger Ravenclaw girls’ dreams. Damocles is often found tutoring many other students in the art of potions (since Severus doesn’t seem to get along with a good portion of the student body.) He’s a charmer and likes to have fun, though he seems to always be at ends with his younger brother, Julius Belby. Damocles does care for his brother a lot, and he is truly affected every time they get into an argument. His best friend is Broderick Bode and sometimes it seems that Damocles is the only one that can stand him for that long, others thinking him a little too bizarre in a way that is most certainly ‘creepy.’ After knocking him out, by accident, in their third year, the two became as close as brothers (that was Broderick’s description of them, Damocles isn’t sure how brothers are supposed to act.) This Ravenclaw spends most of his time alone, sketching out drawings, that he deems awkward, by the large windows in the his common room. Broderick enjoys watching people, gathering all that he can about the nature of humanity and the way that humans interact with one another. He’s known for his unfaltering gaze, one that unnerves most that he stares at. But really, he’s just observing their movements. He doesn’t have much faith in his career as an artist, but it’s a passion of his, a reason he takes the Muggle Art elective and is one of the few people in that class. His father works in the Ministry of Magic and has already lined Broderick up with a job after he graduates, something he isn’t looking forward to all that much. His friends include Arthur Weasley, a kind ginger of the same sort of pureblood heritage, and Damocles Belby, a man Broderick considers his best friend, no matter how different and unlikely they friendship is. They met formally in their third year, Damocles getting into some sort of fist fight and being knocked backwards into Broderick, knocking him out. Since then, they’ve been the best of friends.
